I came to Okinawa a decade ago to research Okinawan health and plants. I discovered so many different and intriguing foods and lifestyles in Okinawa that lead to them being the longest living people in the world.

When I first heard of kokuto, I thought it was just any other regular dark brown sugar. Boy, was I wrong. And it has healthy components to it? How is this not being sold all over the world already?

Now, I am the first to internationally sell Okinawa's dark brown sugar that is manufactured IN Okinawa BY Okinawans with one goal: to spread awareness of Okinawan longevity to the world.
